There are other Heat Engines that could be used: TEG's aren't very efficient though at 5-8%, but would increase the trickle charge of your backpack, unless that's what it already uses.

RTG's have TEG's in them, a TEG is a Thermo-Electric Generator (they can be used in reverse to produce heat and cold as well and are used in portable refridgerators/heaters for camping/cars, and computer cooling solutions). While I'm all about more stuff, a mini-rtg would be a bad thing to put on your back, technically.īut there are options, the human being (I'm assuming the Astroneer is gets replicated so I'm not entirely sure what it is). The thing about the RTG's is that they get HOT.
